About Haze Homes

Haze Homes is a one-person interiors site written and photographed in Barcelona, Spain. It is about one specific look — warm, dark, layered, the sort of room a members’ club spends a great deal of money on — and about getting to it without spending that money.

How the rooms are put together

Every piece on this site comes from a retailer we have an affiliate relationship with, through a licensed product feed. That feed is where the prices, the stock status and the images come from, and it is refreshed regularly. Nothing is typed in by hand, which is why a price here should match the price at the retailer rather than a price from six months ago.

We do not scrape retailers’ websites. If a brand’s products are not available through a programme we have been approved for, that brand does not appear here.

What we will not do

• Claim to have tested something we have not. Where a page has not been seen in person, it says so.
• Publish a price we have not checked at the source. Prices come from the feed; the placeholder ones in our starter content are marked as placeholders.
• Use a brand’s press photography. Product images are served from the retailer’s own feed under the terms of their programme. Everything else on the site is our own photograph.
• Convert prices between currencies. A converted figure goes stale and will not match the checkout page. Most of our retailers are European, so a lot of prices here are in euros.

Where the money comes from

Affiliate commission, and nothing else. There is no sponsored content, no paid placement and no advertising on this site. The full explanation, including what that does and does not change about what gets written, is on the disclosure page.
