Dille & Kamille is a Dutch shop for the kitchen, the table and the home, and it is where I send people who want the look without spending on furniture first. Almost everything is in a natural material: rattan, linen, stoneware, wood, glass. That matters more than it sounds. A warm, dark room is built out of texture, and cheap accessories usually fail because they are smooth and shiny.
What I use them for
The layer that goes on last. Baskets, candle holders, linen napkins, a stoneware jug for the table, a rattan shade for a pendant. None of it is expensive and none of it looks it either, because the materials are real.
They are also good for the dining table in particular. If you have read my dining room look, this is the kind of shop that fills the table rather than the room.
Where I would not use them
Furniture and large pieces. That is not what the shop is for, and the range is small. I would also skip anything in a bright colour: the shop is at its best in its naturals and its earthy glazes.
