La Redoute
The French retailer with a far better home range than most people expect. Good for linen, curtains, rugs and simple furniture at a fair price.

La Redoute is a French retailer that most people know for clothes. Its home range is the part I actually use: linen bedding, long curtains, jute and wool rugs, and simple furniture in wood and rattan. The style leans relaxed and French rather than polished, which suits a room that is meant to feel warm.
What I use them for
Textiles, mostly. Floor-length curtains in a heavy linen, a washed linen duvet cover, a flatweave rug. These are the things that change how a room feels for the least money, and La Redoute does them in good colours. If you are hanging curtains, read how I hang them first: the height is the part everybody gets wrong.
Where I would not use them
Upholstered furniture you cannot see in person. With anything you sit on, I would rather go to a shop and test it.
Shipping
I link to the Dutch shop, which delivers in the Netherlands. Each piece shows where it ships before you click.
